Questions about honesty and why people keep things secret
I have never understood the secrets of certain people. Politicians in particular. I do understand that you have a public perception to keep up, but if you hide things then it just looks worse once people find out. I have encountered this twice in the past week. Once in a re-run of, HOUSE, in which a patient is completely honest with her daughter about everything, even sex. House uncovers that she is not actually the mother of the girl, and you (as the viewer) realize that no matter how honest this mother was, she was hiding the biggest and most fundamental secret from her daughter. The second time I encountered it was reading an article in Rolling Stone about Chan Marshall, the lead figure of Cat Power. Cat Power is one of my favorite things to put on the speakers when I am roaming around my house, so the article intrigued me immediately. Marshall address the fact that Bob Dylan is one of her all-time heros. Be that as it may, she doesn’t believe that she needs to keep the same amount of privacy about her life as he did. He had mystique because he didn’t willingly give up information in interviews. Marshall suggest that she, who has been more then open, has actually warded off the media in that sense. No one wants an easy story. I am in love with this idea of hiding nothing and revealing everything. That is why I write. Speaking of which, later this week I do have a slightly investigative article that I would like to share with you, whoever you are ( no one at this moment.) —A side note to all of this, I think it is truly interesting that the only comment I receive on any blog was the religious blog. I am not surprised. Still, one day people will want to read my words. Hopefully after I am not around to be scrutinized for my lifestyle of course.
much love to anyone who wants it. - Shyanne
