Creating a bookshelf of your own (inspiration pictures included)

This my seem like a dull topic, but I am in love with reading. I read every chance I get and must admit that I am running out of book space. This spring break I am going home to make a bookshelf. My inspiration is from http://www.sundancecatalog.com.                                                       test-3ms.jpeg                                                         test-3ms.jpeg(priced at $3,495.00 +shipping) Now, one of the main reasons why I chose this bookshelf is because if I am building it myself, there is room for creativity to take over. For example, I want to put a cabinet-like door on a few of the shelfs and put locks on them. I also want to include some ’secret’ drawers that come out the side of the shelf. I will post some pictures if I actually accomplish this. The particular bookshelf above is make of three pieces, just standing beside each other. Also, there is a metal label holder below each shelf. Other ideas include: m5320710410.jpgm3998940420.jpgm3770210830.jpgIt doesn’t have to look like a bookshelf to be used as one. The kitchen cabinet shelf can easily be used as a bookshelf. If you are interested in creating or buying a bookshelf please consider this first. You can easily find used cabinets, bookshelves, kitchen pantries, and other storage units through sites like craigslist.com and even venturing out into your local garage sales once the cold weather subsides. Good luck and I hope this helps.
